Yuri’s Night at the Bauru Didactic Astronomy Observatory – Brazil

The Bauru Didactic Astronomy Observatory (Observatório Didático de Astronomia de Bauru) will host a public educational event to celebrate Yuri’s Night and the history of human space exploration.

Throughout the evening, visitors will be able to attend a short talk (15–20 minutes), repeated multiple times, introducing the meaning of Yuri’s Night and the importance of Yuri Gagarin’s historic flight. In addition, the event will feature guided sky observation with telescopes, sky recognition activities, and opportunities to learn about astronomy with our team.

Children will also enjoy a special kids’ workshop, and visitors will be able to explore the Observatory shop and other attractions prepared for the night.

This event is open to the public and aims to bring the community closer to astronomy, science, and the celebration of humanity’s journey into space.
