DESCRIPTION:Yuri’s Night is an annual event held in cities around the world to commemorate the first human spaceflight by Soviet Major Yuri Gagarin on April 12\, 1961. \nThis year\, we’re hoping to gather at a restaurant around Nihonbashi after the monthly study session of the NPO Japan Mars Society (http://www.marssociety.jp/) which is held monthly by volunteers at Space Systems Development Co.\, Ltd. \nThe venue will be the Belgian Beer Cafe in COREDO Muromachi. \nVenue: Beer Cafe Brugsezot Nihonbashi COREDO Muromachi 2 \n【公式】ビアカフェ ブルッグス ゾット 日本橋コレド室町2店 \n\n3-minute walk from Mitsukoshimae Station (Tokyo Metro Ginza Line/Hanzomon Line)\n5-minute walk from Shin-Nihonbashi Station (JR Sobu Main Line) \nStart time: 17:30 \nReservation for seats only \nApproximately 5\,000 yen (depending on order) \nFurther details will be provided later. \nDue to the restaurant’s arrangements\, we would appreciate it if you could indicate your intention to attend by clicking the “Attend” button as soon as possible\, even if it’s just a tentative number. \nParticipation in only the Yuri’s Night is fine\, but if you’re interested\, please also drop by the Mars Society study session starting at 13:30. \n– To celebrate humanity’s past successes in space exploration and challenges to the unknown\, and to share the mysteries of space and the preciousness of Earth with all of humanity. \n– To consider the state of science and technology\, including space development\, and the problems that need to be solved in global society\, and to create an opportunity to explore and share what we should do in the future for this planet and for the future of us humans who inhabit it. \nWhile the current global situation is increasingly questioning the very purpose of this event\, past Yuri’s Nights have often served as catalysts\, meeting places for startups\, and driving forces for citizen-participatory space projects that have been gaining attention in recent years. These include the inclusive participation format and sponsorship acquisition methods used by the private lunar exploration project HAKUTO through public events\, and the establishment of a network of young space professionals and proposals at the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space.
