The second tour\, led by Director Guido Schwarz\, traces lunar exploration from Apollo to Artemis\, including global missions and future Moon plans\, with a virtual reality lunar landing experience. \nOn Sunday April 26\, the museum blends space history with computer culture. A guided tour at 12:00 is followed by a 13:30 talk on the Apollo Guidance Computer by Lena Ku and Neil Fraser\, showcasing how software was developed for this iconic system and the challenges involved. Both events are held in English and offer a hands-on look at early spaceflight technology and programming.

This training encompassed a wide range of skills and disciplines\, designed to prepare her for long duration missions on the International Space Station\, or trips to the Moon as part of NASA’s Artemis program.\n\n\n\n\n\nBut before the first humans ever ventured into space\, no-one knew how the human body might react to spaceflight\, so the training given to the first NASA astronauts and Soviet Cosmonauts had quite a different emphasis.\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin space historian Kerrie Dougherty as she explores the ways in which astronaut training has changed and developed across the decades – and how the fundamentals of preparing an astronaut for spaceflight remain the same.

We are a popular science club that keeps its members up-to-date on the latest developments. \nNo experience is necessary to attend. \nThe Ryan Observatory at Muddy Run Park  is a public outreach facility featuring astronomy and STEAM education. Constructed by Exelon Generation Co. LLC and opened to the public in 2017 by Freeman Dyson\, F.R.S. The facility offers free monthly open houses for observing the skies with trained amateur astronomers. Outreach programs are managed by the Rittenhouse Astronomical Society\, one of the oldest amateur astronomical organizations in the country with a rich history of providing information to the public through presentations from knowledgeable and practicing scientists.

DESCRIPTION:North America’s biggest Yuri’s Night space-themed dance party is at The Museum of Flight April 11. The annual 21+ spectacle transforms the Museum into an intergalactic nightclub celebrating real and imagined spaceflight with great DJs driving loud EDM and silent discos\, dance\, cosplay\, VR experiences and space-age-appropriate fun. \nRetired four-time NASA astronaut and spacewalker Steve Robinson will start the evening in the Yuri’s Night Space Lounge with a conversation about current and future spaceflight. Robinson is currently the Director of the UC Davis Center for Space Exploration Research. \nAn eclectic mix of food trucks and cash bar will provide sustenance to the revelers. Space-themed costumes are encouraged.
